Money-wasting Herts Highways, under the control of the Conservative administration at county hall, has done it again.

On Hatfield Road in St Albans they repainted the white lines which had faded to almost nothing. Good news, you might think.

The following day they came and laid an anti-skid surface on top of the new white lines.

Local Lib Dem councillor Chris White commented: ‘This would be unbelievable if we did not know Herts Highways and the county council so well. At a time when resources are tight this is an outrageous way to waste public money.’
