Chris White has spoken to Herts Highways about why queues were forming last Sunday at the junction of Beaconsfield Road and Hatfield Road.

Apparently the loops which detect the length of queues (and which then adjust the phasing so as to clear blockages) don’t work on Sundays. Chris has been assured that in future the lights will be able to see cars 24/7.
