Chris White has lashed out at Thames Water for allowing a renewed water leak to reappear on London Road under the railway bridge.

Chris said: ‘This must be the fourth time there has been a serious leak from their manhole cover during a downpour. The road is crumbling around the manhole because they have failed to deal with the problem.

‘Worse still pedestrians using London Road on their way into town can get soaked from head to foot as a result of the puddle which arises from the leak.’

Chris has called upon the county council to take firm action against Thames Water.
